I was the photographer for my brother's wedding last weekend.  Still working on those pictures, but I couldn't wait to share this gem:

Back-to-School

I have a craft blog where I like to have my picture (so people know the face behind the blog) - the blog is turqouise, so I used the background paper to match:

D Boys

I love the carefree feel of the picture below - just brothers having fun.  It's great when we can take a short break during a photo session to skip rocks, yet still get some good pictures.

We've had lots going on lately, and on top of that we've had sickness at our house - so it took me a little longer than normal to have these pictures ready.  But now I'm way excited to share them with you - the family did a great job and I think they got lots of good pictures.

The location is Wallace State Park and there were several fun spots to take pictures.

The timing was great too - just as the sun was going down.  Made the water look great.

Big Group, W Family, post 3

I like how he's waving to us and she's showing her shy side - - not the smiles that you get in some pictures, but it's fun to capture different sides of the kids' personalities.

See, I told you it was a pretty big group.  They all did a really good job cooperating.  I am loving this "family pod" look in the picture above.  The location was taken at William Jewell Campus.  I also took a more traditional one:

I had the challenge of doing big group photography - 5 siblings, their families, parents, etc.  Before the big group, while we were still waiting for a few to arrive, I broke off and took some of just this family.  They did a great job.  Once their little girl had a flower to hold she was happy (she didn't like marshmellows!  that's our usual plan-of-attack).

I think this is just too cute - when she's in school and has to bring in a picture of herself and her parents when she was little, I hope she picks this one:

Baby A Maternity

I had fun doing a Maternity Photo Session last week.  It was super hot and to make it worse we picked the afternoon to take pictures.  Good thing we found some shade.  Here are a couple of my favorites:

I like how this is a different angle than normal - adds some interest but still shows off baby.
